My name is Arden Shayn and I am a 3rd year design student at the University of Kentucky School of Interiors. I have a passion for excellence in design and I love to explore the rare and uncommon things in life. My passion and love for this exploration is what inspired the name of this blog - "selcouth by design." Defined (and after a few tweaks in word choice on my part), the word selcouth means unfamiliar, rare, strange, and yet marvelous.
